a Cena Ristorante

One of my favorite go-to cuisines would have to be Italian. Versatile, relatively fast to prepare, and bountiful flavor (what more could you ask for?!). One of my good friends got a job at this little Italian restaurant nestled in Sellwood Oregon. He isn't an avid foodie like myself, but still raved about the quality of this Italian gem.

Finally, my manfriend and myself joined our friends for a night out at a Cena. AMAZING.

If you happen to stop by southeast Portland YOU MUST TRY! To start, I ordered the delicious fromaggio, a fresh cheese dip accompanied by warm ciabatta, followed by A TO DIE FOR lemon drop martini-bellini. Our friends ordered the Italian Antipasti which was also delicious; fresh cheeses, meats, and REAL fresh olives to nibble on.

As for my main course, I went with a rabbit pasta made with fresh noodles. I am not kidding when I say this is the best damn Italian food in town, quite possibly the northwest. To compliment my dinner I ordered a glass of pinor noir which blended so well with my tender rabbit pasta. As for my manfriend, he of course ordered the pizza (sigh men) however, this pizza was nothing short of amazing! It was a beautiful array of spicy Italian sausage accompanied by fresh mozzarella, basil and tomatoes, with a creamy tomato base. It is safe to say, I will never order take out again!! (Well, maybe).

As for dessert, I am a tiramisu fiend, so I obvi went with this Italian classic and it was nothing short of spectacular! Perfect balance of cream, liquor and cocoa. Nirvana.

To conclude this snippet, I highly advise EVERYONE to try a Cena. It is a bit on the pricier end, but so worth it. A fabulous date night restaurant or special night on the town; or if you have the extra cash it is a must eat!!
