La Catrina Taco Truck

Hello friends!

This time I came back ready and prepared with photos to share from my FAVORITE taco truck of alllll time! Thank you thank you thank you for being patient with me because I am sure it is frustrating following a newbie blogger but I appreciate it!! So lets get back to business shall we? Located in southeast Portland nestled in a shaded spot on 82nd; Happy Valley's best kept secret FO SHO.

Take a look at this beaut:

LA CATRINA TACO TRUCK AND ALL OF ITS GLORY!

It was hopping today .99 cent taco Wednesday yippppeeeee!

What to order what to order! (That's my manfriend/partner in crime >:) )

You know it's the real deal when it's all in Espanol ayee ayeeee!!

So lets get started!! Of course since it was 99 cent Wednesday so the manfriend and I ordered six asada tacos, one pollo (chicken) tamale, and asada nachos to top it all off!!

No Mexican dinner would be complete without Jarritos!!

Here are the goods my friends!

drool...

Couldn't wait for the pictures so I nibbled a bit off the deliciouso pollo tamale

Asada Nachos: AMAZING perfect balance of chips, beans, steak, cheese, pico, cilantro, avocado, and sour cream. It is a must try at this joint!!

Asada Tacos: Six little pieces of heaven. Perfectly seasoned and cooked steak, corn tortillas, topped with cilantro, onion and a squeeze of lime. A food minimalist's dream!

La Catrina also serves up some of theeee BEST verde sauce in town!! The red sauce isn't bad but their verde is so fresh and vibrant with spicy kick! I know verde might seem scary to you Mexican food noobs, but no meal is complete without it!!

Yours Truly <3

Recap:

La Catrina located in south east Portland is a MUST. I promise you that you will NEVER crave taco bell again after this truck; and whatever Mexican joint you used to eat at will soon take the back burner once you put a little La Catrina Taco Truck in your life!!

Tips: definitely try the asada because so many people screw it up and this is one of the few places that does it right. EVERY DAMN TIME. Don't forget the verde sauce (warning: it is pretty spicy)

Cheers,
  Sim
